Family-Run Italian Restaurant in Holborn, London

Italian comfort for London days
and nights

At La Cucina di Daffy, we’re known for fresh pasta, weekly specials by our Italian chef,
and breakfasts and coffee that might just be the best sound in Bloomsbury.

But we’re also known for George, our four-legged local legend.

Loved by customers, adored by regulars, and always happy to make a few dog friends passing by our cosy corner.

Daffy’s is built for London life, from early starts to late finishes.

From our family to yours

At La Cucina di Daffy, nothing is accidental, not the food, not the vibe, and definitely not the people.
Daffy is the soul of the place. The heart, the instinct, the one who makes everyone feel like they belong the moment they walk in.
She brings the energy in the room, always on top of everything, keeping the heart of a true family business beating strong.
Donik is the master of good vibes, always smiling, always welcoming, he quietly keeps everything running, with care, consistency, and a lot of heart.
And Jenny… the hands behind every dish. A perfectionist with a big heart, she brings her signature to every dish, making sure everything feels just right (with just a subtle Torino touch).
We’re family-run, dog-friendly, and built on real food, real people, and genuine care.

Small family restaurant with outstanding food and service. The best meal we have had in London on our trip. Everything was amazing from the burrata appetizer to the Alfredo and carbonara pastas to the tiramisu. Highly recommend trying.

This is a must if you are in London! The food was amazing made with fresh herbs and homemade sauces. The service here was even better! Christina, thank you for your outstanding service and hospitality. My daughter and I really enjoyed our meal at La Cucina di Daffy 2. If we ever make it back to London again, we will be sure to come back and I will be ordering the linguine allo scoglio once more! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

We ate dinner here twice on our May trip to London. We usually stay in Bloomsbury and this is a new find for us. In walking distance of our Cartwright Gardens hotel, or a short bus ride. Lovely spot, delicious food, and wine. Good to reserve. Enjoy the ambiance and the host/hostess!

Had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful establishment, reminiscent of those classic family owned cosy restaurants that you often see in Italy. The service was fantastic, very attentive and warm. The bruschetta was delightful, but the special dish of the day, the sirloin steak was incredible. Very tender but so flavoursome, it was a joy to eat.The deserts were pretty good but didn't quite live up to the starters or mains.I was pleasantly surprised at how good this establishment was. Highly recommend

Honestly, one of the best places in London for Italian. The specials are more than worth the cost in value. The food we had was delicious.Wine could be better, but when the food was good. Waitors were very attentive and warm spirits.

This was a lovely find indeed. The restaurant is small, but it certainly packs a punch. The staff are very attentive and they know how to sell their menu! All the pasta appears to be homemade, and everything we ate had great quality ingredients coupled with sublime freshness. Taste wise, we had our taste sensations spolit by La Cucina.I had the special which at £22 was overpriced for the quantity served. That was annoying, so ask for prices where they are not displayed. Everything else was generally well priced. You still want value for money. We had a lovely time and I would love to eat here again... Real Italian food made real well!
